[ARCHIVED] Remains Positively Identified As Anjelica Hadsell

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has positively identified the human remains discovered on April 9, 2015 in Southampton County as belonging to Anjelica “A.J.” Hadsell. Chief of Police Michael Goldsmith and the dedicated members of the Norfolk Police Department express their deepest sympathies to the Hadsell family and thank the many federal, state, and local agencies that have assisted throughout the course of this investigation. The department’s efforts are now focused on bringing closure to the Hadsell family, as the investigation into A.J.’s death continues.

The Norfolk Police Department asks anyone with information regarding this case to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887), text “NORFOLK” and the tip information to CRIMES (274637), or submit a web tip at: www.norfolkcrimeline.com. Tipsters are never asked to provide their names or required to testify in court. Information leading to an arrest can be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
