[ARCHIVED] Man Shot on Gatling Avenue

Shortly after 2:00 pm this afternoon, Norfolk Police responded to the 3500 block of Gatling Avenue for reports of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, police located a man suffering from an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. The man was transported from the scene to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. Detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with any information about this crime is encouraged to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887). Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
