[ARCHIVED] Stabbing Suspect Arrested

Shortly after 8:00 this morning, Norfolk Police responded to a potential stabbing victim in the 1700 block of Isaac Street. Officers discovered a man had been stabbed during an altercation with another man. The suspect was last seen running from the area prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. During the course of the preliminary investigation, detectives positively identified the suspect as 25-year-old Darryl D. Wilkins of the 2100 block of Camden Avenue in Portsmouth. Wilkins was taken into custody shortly after the incident and charged with Burglary and Malicious Wounding. Wilkins is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail.
