On September 7th, 2014 around 10:00 p.m., a call was received in the Emergency Communications Center for someone breaking into vehicles in the 7500 block of Sewells Point Road. Norfolk Police arrived on scene, found the suspect inside of a vehicle that did not belong to him, and arrested him. The suspect has been identified as 50-year-old Lawrence V. Land of the 6200 block of Alexander Street. He has been charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools, Misdemeanor Vandalism, Attempt to Commit Noncapital Felony, Petit Larceny, and Entering or Setting in Motion, Vehicle.
