[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Detectives Investigating Undetermined Death

On August 28, 2014 shortly before 6:30 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center received a call for a possible gunshot victim in the 8600 block of Glen Myrtle Avenue at the Breezy Point Apartment Complex. Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded to the location and discovered an adult male suffering from an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased on scene by Fire Rescue. Detectives responded and are handling the investigation. The incident is being declared an "undetermined death" and the Medical Examiner's Office will determine the exact cause of death. At this time, detectives are not actively searching for any suspects and the victim's identity will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
