The Tidewater Gardens redevelopment project invites minority, women-owned, and Section 3 businesses to a Vendor Fair on February 26, 4-6 p.m., at Black Brand Offices, 520 E. Main Street, Norfolk, Va. This event will highlight $120 million in upcoming construction opportunities, with Brinshore Development and its partners including Banc of America Community Development Corporation (BACDC), BBRM Norfolk Partners, LLC, and Harkins Builders. Attendees will learn about contract opportunities, the benefits of SWaM and Section 3 certifications, and how to establish valuable business relationships with developers and contractors. This is a key opportunity to connect with project stakeholders and explore new business prospects in the redevelopment of Tidewater Gardens.

Residents have started moving in to Reunion at Kindred! One of those excited for her return to the neighborhood is Ms. Miller who moved in a month ago. She’s now settled in and encourages other former residents interested in returning to Kindred to contact their People First representative. Reunion is a new independent senior living community for ages 55 plus. Units for families and residents of all ages will be opening soon. Former Tidewater Gardens residents interested in returning should call People First at (757) 390-4625.

People First is offering a tour of ODU to 10-15 high school students from the former Tidewater Gardens neighborhood.

This is an opportunity for students to get a head start in preparing for higher education and ask their questions about college life.
