[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police arrest HRT Light Rail robbery suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with an ongoing robbery investigation. 

On December 27th around 12:50 p.m., it was reported to police that a man armed with a knife had taken items from a victim in the 3500 block of Mississippi Avenue near the Ingleside Station light rail stop. 

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Following the investigation, Detectives charged Silvero Brown Jr., 32, of Norfolk, with robbery and assault. 

Brown Jr., was taken into custody by Norfolk Police on January 9th around 9:30 a.m.

He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond. 

As Detectives continue to investigate this matter, they ask anyone with information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line to leave an anonymous tip or call the Violent Crimes Office at 757-664-7032 to speak with an investigator.
