[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian dies following crash on Colley Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man has died after being hit by a car last night on Colley Avenue.

On November 26, 2024, around 8:50 p.m., first responders were called to the 5200 block of Colley Avenue for the report of a car accident involving a pedestrian. When Officers arrived, they found a man suffering from serious injuries. 

The pedestrian, identified as Leo B. La Rue, 61, of Norfolk, was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the car involved remained on the scene following the crash and was uninjured.  

This crash investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information that may assist is asked to call the Norfolk Crime Line.
