NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that left a woman dead.
On November 19, 2024, around 10:10 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Wilson Road for the report of a woman lying in the roadway. The preliminary investigation determined that the woman had been hit by a car and that the car had fled the scene before police arrived.
The woman, identified as Amanda A. Godfrey, 40, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives say they are looking for a dark-colored mid-size SUV, and ask anyone with information about this hit-and-run to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip using the P3Tips mobile app.
