Congratulations, Toni Nicholson! She's been selected as the General Services Gold Star Employee of the Quarter.
She was nominated by Scott Franklin, Fleet Manager.
Read the nomination below:
Since December, Fleet has been short an analyst. Toni, an Admin Tech, took over a majority of these duties. She then helped train a temporary employee in some of these duties and continued to do so until the temp became a full-time employee in May. Around the same time, our second analyst left and Toni stepped up yet again to help transition those responsibilities as well. Some of the additional duties include budget, AFMS, level 2 approver, department billing, fuel transactions, IT liaison, motor pool, performance analytics and PM reporting - all this on top of her day-to-day duties.
Toni has gone above and beyond to make sure Fleet is successful and to make sure that everyone around her is successful. She is the definition of teamwork and Fleet Pride!
Toni comes in with a smile every day - ready to take on the world - even though she has a full plate of responsibilities. There's no one we can count on more to be here and get the job done.
There is a song by Big Smo called "Workin'" that really sums up Toni's work ethic. "I'm the first to clock in and the last to leave. I ain't ever had a problem rolling up my sleeves." That's Toni! She never leaves a task unfinished.
The fact that Toni is doing the job of an Admin Tech while also doing the job of an Analyst, while also training new employees, supporting six shop managers and internal customers has been nothing short of amazing! With Toni doing all that she is doing, it has freed up other team members to support vehicle maintenance without having to worry about administrative duties falling behind.
Thank you Toni!
