NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are continuing to investigate a crash that has left a man seriously injured.
Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of E Little Creek Road around 10:00 p.m. on June 10, 2024, for the report of an accident involving a pedestrian. When the officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment where he remains.
As a result of the preliminary investigation, the driver involved, Beverly A. Simerson, 69, of Norfolk, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence.
Simerson was taken to Norfolk City Jail.
No other injuries were reported.
Detectives have not released any additional details at this time.
