NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man has been arrested for robbing a Norfolk bank Thursday morning on Kempsville Road.
George Little Jr., 40, was taken into custody shortly after police responded to the Chartway Federal Credit Union located at 132 Kempsville Road for the report of a bank robbery.
The robbery call came in around 9:35 a.m.
Bank tellers advised responding officers that a man entered the bank, handed the teller a note that implied a robbery and demanded money. The teller complied, and the man left the bank on foot.
Little was taken into custody without incident by a Norfolk Sheriff's Deputy in the 400 block of Kempsville Road.
There were no injuries reported.
Little is currently held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
