NORFOLK, Va (NPD) - Around 6:30 a.m. Norfolk Police received a 9-1-1 call about a possible threat to Lake Taylor Middle School posted on social media. An investigation was launched immediately.
In response, additional police officers are patrolling the area around the school. Norfolk Police take the safety and security of our students and our community seriously.
Anyone found posting threats on social media face a Class 6 Felony resulting in up to 12 months in jail and/or a $2500 fine.
