NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – One man is dead and five others were injured during a party early Sunday morning.
Initially the shooting incident was reported as one dead and three injured; however, police have confirmed two additional victims.
On July 30, 2017 around 3:25 a.m., police were called the corner of E. Princess Anne Road and Monticello Avenue for a report of two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men, ages 27 and 29, were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Around 3:30 a.m. police were dispatched to an apartment complex for a gunshot disturbance in the 1500 block of Azalea Garden Road. There, police found a large crowd inside the residence. They also discovered 25-year-old Maxie Mock suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mock, of the 1800 block of Princeton Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after, a 37-year-old woman walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 24-year-old man walked into Sentara Leigh Hospital, and a 26-year-old woman walked into Sentara BelleHarbour Hospital in Suffolk. All three were suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds, and are expected to be okay.
Police have confirmed that all six people were shot during a party at the apartment complex on Azalea Garden Road.

At this time, police have not released any suspect information or motive for the shooting.
