Norfolk's Amtrak station is a 3,500 square foot station that is ADA accessible provides restrooms, visitor information, taxi and Amtrak thruway bus stop, short/long term parking, bike racks and connections to the Tide light rail after 6:00 am.

Parking
- Parking is limited. Patrons are encouraged to use ride share/taxi services or personal drop-off/pick-up.
- Parking for Amtrak patrons is available in Harbor Park Lot E
- Beginning March 14, 2025, Amtrak patrons parking in Lot E will be required to pay $10/day.
- Parking payment options:
- Park Mobile app – available for Android and iOS – using code 544111 to view available spaces, reserve a space and pay. Space cannot be reserved in advance. Space must be purchased for the length of your parking stay.

- Vehicles that do not pay for parking will be subject to parking citations of up to $50/day.
- Beginning March 14, 2025, Amtrak patrons parking in Lot E will be required to pay $10/day.
- Bike rack area available.
- A “cell phone lot” or waiting area is available at the Norfolk State University McDemmond Lot located at 1451 Claiborne Ave.
- Patrons must remain in cars while in “cell phone lot” waiting area.
- All unattended vehicles occupying “cell phone lot” waiting area designated spaces are subject to enforcement in accordance with Norfolk State University policies, up to and including towing.
- No overnight parking.
