Randi Marston Peterson

Pretlow Maker Space - Randi Marston PetersonThe Randi Marston Peterson Maker Studio was created in memory of Randi Marston Peterson, a Norfolk Public Library patron and voracious reader.

Randi Marston Peterson was born on October 15, 1948, and passed away on March 8, 2020. She grew up on the family farm in Norge, Virginia, with her parents, George Archer Marston, Jr. and Dorothy Madsen Marston and siblings, Keith, Tina and Arch.

Randi Marston Peterson was many things. She was a teacher, a business owner, an accountant, a purchasing agent and a valued office administrator. She was an athlete, a cook, a world traveler, a gifted seamstress, a walker and a gardener. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin and a loyal friend.

But most of all, this farmer’s daughter from Williamsburg was a voracious reader. She was a frequent visitor to her local library, where she found both solace and adventure. . . and brought home books. . . lots and lots of books.

Our Special Thanks

The Randi Marston Peterson Maker Studio would not be possible without the generous funding of the Norfolk Public Library Foundation, the Friends of Norfolk Public Library and the Ocean View Lions Club.
