  1. Offsite Gallery exhibition "Eclectic", a group show of 6 Hampton Roads, VA artists

    Exhibition on view through Nov. 6th. Gallery hrs: Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm, Sunday: 12-6pm "Eclectic" aptly describes the individual styles celebrated in this exhibition of 6 Hampton Roads, Virginia artists exploring a variety of mediums and making individual statements through innovative expression. Some of Tidewater’s best artistic approaches to design and color in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, stained glass and collage are represented. Participating artists include Kathy Mosier (Governor's School art instructor), John Tobin (International award winning sculptor), Shara Wertz (Norview High School art educator), James Warwick Jones (former Gallery director at the Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center & Peninsula Fine Arts Center), Julie Stanton (US Navy veteran & self taught artist), Katherine Nash (local interior designer & stained glass artist).

  1. OpenNorfolk Presents the 757 Market at Five Points

    Five Points Neighborhood Spot

    As part of the City of Norfolk’s OpenNorfolk initiative, the Five Points Neighborhood Spot in the Norview neighborhood will be the location for the first ever 757 Market. The 757 Market will showcase locally made goods and services, as well as several food trucks, with a particular emphasis on minority-owned businesses. The market will take place from 3-7p on Saturday October 24th and will be managed with safe and spatially distanced experiences in mind. The Five Points Neighborhood Spot is a temporary, flexible public park which provides safe, healthy, fun and educational pop-up programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. The design and operations of the Five Points Neighborhood Spot and the 757 Market are being led by YARD & Company, Work Program Architects and the City of Norfolk.

Grab the family, put on your favorite costume and have a scary good time at the Drive Thru Trunk or Treat at Lake Taylor High School on October 24th at 5:30 p.m. Zombies are welcome! Enjoy fun displays, first responder’s demo, live radio broadcast and more! Registration per vehicle is required. Everyone must remain in the vehicle and adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions.
