When does Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) take applications?: Norfolk Fire-Rescue will accept applications once we have establish positions to be filled. Until that time, online interest cards are accepted.

4. How many fire academies does NFR run per year?: NFR has one recruit academy per year and runs consecutively for nine months. After graduation as a Firefighter / EMT-Advance, each recruit has the option to continue their education as an EMT-Intermediate.
