Norfolk celebrates Drinking Water Week

Norfolk’s new Water Quality Report shows that once again our tap water has met all federal and state requirements. What better way to celebrate Drinking Water Week than with a cold glass of Norfolk water?

Norfolk has Virginia’s best tasting tap water, according to the American Water Works Association.

“We’re committed to providing residents and businesses throughout the city with top-quality water Service,” said Doug Beaver, director of the City of Norfolk Department of Utilities. “The dedication of more than 300 Utilities employees who work tirelessly 24 hours a day, 365 day a year ensures that you always have access to healthy Norfolk drinking water.”

The Water Quality Report is distributed annually to inform customers we are meeting all water quality guidelines set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency. Read the report in its entirety by visiting www.norfolk.gov/wqr. You can also find copies of the report at Norfolk libraries and recreation centers.
