When Officers arrived, they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Three men were pronounced deceased at the scene.
“With two separate incidents occurring so close together in such a short amount of time, it is understandable for there to be heightened concern among our residents; however, I want to reassure both of these communities that the Norfolk Police Department is working hard tonight to catch those responsible for both of these acts,” said Interim Chief Goldsmith.
Detectives say these two incidents are not related.
The Norfolk Police Department is continuing to investigate both of these incidents and asks anyone who may have information about either of these shootings to please call the Norfolk Crime Line.
