[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police need help identifying stolen auto suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are asking for help from the public to identify a man involved in two stolen autos.

On Monday, May 23rd, around 5:45 p.m., police were dispatched to Marlin Motors Wholesale located at 5029 E. Princess Anne Road for a report of a stolen auto. When officers arrived, they learned a man provided a fake identification card to test drive a Silver 2008 Nissan Altima and did not return.

Surveillance footage from the business captured the man on camera.

Detectives believe this man was involved in another stolen auto that occurred at a dealership on April 20, 2022, in the 6400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd.

If you recognize the man or know anything about this stolen auto, please contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
