[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify man killed on Modoc Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting Friday morning that left a 55-year-old man dead.

Around 4:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Modoc Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found Rodney A. Cross, of Norfolk, suffering from gunshot wounds. Cross was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have not released a motive, or any additional circumstances surrounding this incident.
