[ARCHIVED] Groundbreaking Celebration for the Tidewater Gardens Transformation

NORFOLK, VA – On Tuesday, April 19, the City of Norfolk, Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Urban Strategies Inc. (USI), Brinshore Development, and the Franklin Johnston Group will break ground on the largest redevelopment project in Norfolk.

This is the first phase of a transformational project that will increase self-sufficiency and financial independence for families in Tidewater Gardens through the provision of suitable housing choices and capacity-building supportive services as well as deconcentrate poverty and develop high quality mixed-income, mixed-use communities of choice.
