[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested in connection to shooting that injured five, including an infant

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Detectives have charged the man responsible for the shooting over the summer that left four adults and a 1-month-old seriously injured.

On August 25, 2020 around 10:15 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road for the report of multiple gunshot victims. When officers arrived, they located three men (24, 25, and 30), a 22-year-old woman, and the 1-month-old girl who were all suffering from gunshot wounds.

The four adults were all transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. The infant was taken to The Children Hospital of the King’s Daughters with life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Homicide Detectives have charged, Kimahni L. Lankford, 20, of Norfolk, with five counts of malicious wounding, and five counts of use of a firearm.  

Lankford was already being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond on unrelated matters, and will continue to be held without bond for the additional charges.
