[ARCHIVED] Two juveniles arrested for shooting of 12-year-old

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives have apprehended two juveniles in connection with the shooting of a 12-year-old.

On December 8th around 11:30 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 2300 block of Lafayette Blvd. When police arrived, they located a 12-year-old male inside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the Children’s Hospital for The King’s Daughters for treatment; his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male have been charged with Malicious Wounding, Shooting into Occupied Dwelling, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

Both juveniles are being held at Norfolk Detention Home.

Police have not released any other details surrounding this investigation.
