[ARCHIVED] "just donate" robbery suspect arrested

Norfolk Detectives have arrested 53-year-old Todd Belton of Norfolk in connection with a Bank Robbery that occurred on 9/10/15.

Belton was charged with one count each of Robbery and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

Belton was arrested on 9/11/15 in the 3500 block of North Ingleside without incident.

He is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a Commercial Robbery Alarm from the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1280 N. Military Highway.

Upon arrival, police confirmed that a man entered the bank, implied a gun, demanded money, and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are now searching for the suspect who is described as a light skinned black man, 40-60 years of age, 5’4 – 5’5’, and skinny build.

The man was last seen wearing a black hat with a circular gold emblem, white t-shirt with the words “just donate” in red, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.

The man was last seen getting into the passenger side of a light colored sedan.
