[ARCHIVED] Dog attack sends a 10-year-old boy to hospital, and left three others injured

Updated Release April 2nd, 2015:
Norfolk Humane Officers have charged the owner of the pit bull mix dogs that sent a 10-year-old to the hospital and injured three others last Monday evening.

Eugene Wilson of the 800 block of Johnstons Road has been charged with three counts each of:
6.1-54: Failure to Pay City License Tax
6.1-60: Failure to Vaccinate
6.1-77: Maintaining a Nuisance Animal
3.2-6540: Maintaining a Dangerous Animal

All three dogs are currently under a 10 day quarantine at the Norfolk Animal Shelter.

Previous Release March 30th 2015:
Shortly after 7:30 this evening, March 30th 2015, police were called to the 800 block of Johnstons Road for three vicious dogs. Once on scene they found four people, two adults and two children, who were attacked by the dogs. Three of the victims were treated and released at the scene by paramedics. One child, a 10-year-old boy was transported to Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters for non-life threatening dog bite wounds.

All three dogs are pit bull mix breed.

Norfolk Humane Officers are actively investigating this incident.
