International Coastal Cleanup with Keep Norfolk Beautiful

In partnership with the Ocean Conservancy and Clean Virginia Waterways, join Keep Norfolk Beautiful for the 2022 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC)! The ICC aims to engage volunteers to cleanup our world’s beaches and waterways. Since its inception, over 16 million volunteers have collected more than 340 million pounds of trash. In Norfolk, you can participate in the ICC by joining a KNB led event or by planning your own cleanup.

The ICC isn’t your average cleanup - volunteers use tracking sheets to collect data on the types and amount of litter found.

KNB's hosted event will take place at Barraud Park on October 22 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Site leaders are also needed to lead cleanups across Norfolk.
