Offsite Gallery exhibition opening: "Racial Inequality" by Theresa A. Brown

Friday, August 27, 2021

Join us for the opening of "Racial Inequality" by local artist, Theresa A. Brown. On view through October 8, 2021. Through a series of abstract acrylic paintings, Brown expresses feelings of pain, love, hope & progress for the future related to issues of racial inequality. A uniquely unified technique evokes emotion while challenging the mind to see the unseen & unspoken. Representing a step forward for her ancestors & children, a red footprint is incorporated into each painting. Brown received her BFA in Commercial Art & Design from Virginia State University. Parking: Enter the MacArthur Center Garage from City Hall Ave. (not directly from the interstate but directly across from MacArthur Square). Pull your ticket (parking should be approx. $1). Turn right & proceed up the ramp to the 2nd level. Turn left & you'll see the S2 entrance by the elevator straight ahead. Enter, then turn left & we are a few doors up on the left across from Sephora.
