Team Norfolk,
After reviewing the updated weather brief from NWS, it appears the amount of snow expected has lessened to 4.2” with the potential for 6”. As for the timing, the Hourly Graph now indicates snow arriving later this afternoon and remaining until early tomorrow morning. When looking at the graph, look at the brown Precipitation Potential line; snow is quite likely to fall when it’s at 47%. Temperatures will remain in the mid to lower 20’s throughout the day and night.
Today’s battle rhythm includes an 11 am call with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service as well as a Policy Team call at 3:30 pm.
If you have any announcements, questions, or unmet needs, please send them to EOC-Plans@norfolk.gov.
Thank you!
Jim Redick, Director
Norfolk Emergency Preparedness and Response
