In December 2021, The Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center at the Atlantic Council launched the US Climate Resilience Map: Pathways for City Solutions. It is a publicly available, interactive map richly populated with data about climate risks and social vulnerabilities and the corresponding resilient solutions to address them. The US Climate Resilience Map has been created to fill a critical gap in fighting the effects of climate change in the US by providing the data needed to inform better decision making for city leaders and communities.
As a result, the goal is to inspire US cities to take action and adapt to the changing climate, and build resilience in their communities. The City of Norfolk was featured as one of the cities utilizing incredible resilience-building interventions and efforts to address climate risk in our community.
