[ARCHIVED] Team Norfolk Emergency Management Strategic Committee

The original item was published from August 24, 2018 1:30 PM to May 19, 2022 11:13 AM

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am thrilled to announce the creation of the Team Norfolk Emergency Management Strategic Committee! The mission of this collection of thought leaders throughout the community is to help assess the current state of, and perceptions of, emergency preparedness.  From there, we collaborate and discuss how to make improvements to best ensure the highest levels of resilience.

I can't be more excited about how the first meeting went!  I am thankful for those who were able to attend, and understand there was more interest which met with conflicting schedules.

I would also like to thank Councilwoman Johnson and Councilwoman McClellan who have been extremely supportive of the emergency preparedness mission and participated on this committee as well.

More to come as this committee will be meeting quarterly.  If you are interested in providing additional input / feedback or to be a part of this committee, feel free to contact us at (757) 441-5533.

Thank you!
