[ARCHIVED] Team Norfolk March 2018 Nor'Easter Update 3-21-18 at 10am

The original item was published from March 21, 2018 10:04 AM to May 19, 2022 11:13 AM

Ladies and Gentlemen,

There is not much change in the forecast from yesterday.
Wet weather to continue into the afternoon.  Wintry mix between 2pm-8pm, followed by around 30% chance of snow.  Rainfall amounts and snow accumulation are not expected to be problematic.

The highest high tide associated with this event occurred overnight; however, today’s high tide will be very close to the minor flood stage at its peak at 12:42pm.
Therefore, coastal flooding conditions are expected to occur at least an hour or so before and after that time.  After that, the next high tide of any concern will occur at 1:04am with ponding in the usual spots.

WOW (Warming Overflow Warning) in effect tonight to augment NEST Sheltering accommodations for our residents experiencing homelessness.

Thanks!

Jim
