[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Grayson 2018 After Action Report 3-14-18

The original item was published from March 14, 2018 9:50 AM to May 19, 2022 11:13 AM

Team Norfolk,

Last night we had the privilege of presenting to City Council the Winter Storm Grayson 2018 After Action Report.  Video of the presentation can be found here (beginning at 2:44:02); actual report is available here.

If your time and interest permits, please review the document.  We want to highlight the hard work and contributions of staff and partner agencies who really stepped up during the incident, but we also want to know where improvements can be made.

Listed are numerous action items, some of which are labeled 'high priority' and will be in place during the next incident; nonetheless, without a review and comments from the community the After Action document and
Winter Weather Plan will be incomplete.

Thank you for your time and consideration!  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at (757) 441-5600.
