MCM closure new

The Norfolk Health Department will continue to use the Military Circle site after the CVC closure, providing FREE COVID-19 vaccinations two days a week. Vaccines will be offered on Tuesday from 2– 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. beginning Tuesday, April 5. There will be no appointments scheduled. This will be walk-in only.

Virginians who are unvaccinated remain at high risk of severe illness and hospitalization due to COVID-19. VDH recommends individuals who are 12 and older receive booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Pfizer vaccine is available for those ages 5 and up. The Moderna and J&J vaccine is available for those 18 years old and up.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination booster for persons ages 12 years of age and older is now being offered at the CVC at Military Circle Mall. Individuals who are 12 years old and up should receive the Pfizer booster dose at least five months after completion of the primary vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine. Individuals who are 18 years of age and older should receive the Moderna booster five months after completion of the primary Moderna vaccine series. Those who have received the Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine are eligible to receive a booster two months after the primary dose.

Anyone who has received a prior COVID-19 vaccine should bring their vaccine card or their vaccine record with a QR code. If you need a copy of your vaccine record, visit vaccinate.virginia.gov.
