Award Categories and Criteria

Barbara Davis Volunteer Award

Presented to a private citizen for playing a key role in stopping, restricting, or preventing crime. Individuals and married couples will be considered.

City Employee Award

Presented to a City employee (not working in law enforcement) who has played a key role in stopping, restricting or preventing crime. A nomination must describe accomplishments above and beyond normal work assignments. Individuals only will be considered.

City Employee Group Award

Presented to City employees who have played a key role in stopping, restricting, or preventing crime. A nomination must be for accomplishments above and beyond normal work assignments. Two or more employees collectively nominated will be considered.

Group Service Award

Presented to a community, group or business that best represents the development or promotion of programs to stop, restrict, or prevent crime. Communities, groups, and businesses will be considered.

Law Enforcement Award

Presented to an individual working in a law enforcement capacity who has engaged in exceptional performance in stopping, restricting, or preventing crime. Individuals only will be considered.

Youth Award

Presented to a youth,17 years old or younger, who has played a key role in stopping, restricting, or preventing crime. Individuals only will be considered.
