PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

PH-1                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on April 7, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION to amend Section 6-0.3(a) of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Norfolk, 1992, to correct an inconsistency in certain commercial districts regarding where residential uses may be located in a mixed use building and to establish minimum standards for such.

 

PH-2                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on April 7, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION to amend the General Plan of Norfolk’s future land use map for property located west of Killam Avenue and north of 50th Street from Low Density Residential to High Density Residential.

 

PH-3                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on April 7, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of DIETRICH W. HEYDER for a change of zoning from R-8 (One-Family) District to Conditional R-14 (High Density Multiple-Family) District at 901 Waterview Avenue.

 

PH-4                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on March 31, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION to amend Table 6-5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Norfolk, 1992, SO AS TO permit indoor Flea Markets in the C-2 (Corridor Commercial) and C-4 (Large Scale Commercial) Districts by Special Exception                   .

 

R-1                                 Matter of a letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance granting a Special Exception to permit the operation of an After Hours Membership Organization on property located at 6029 East Virginia Beach Boulevard,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

R-2                                 Matter of a public hearing scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on March 24, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Thomas and Mary Ann Fiano to close, vacate and discontinue a portion of Muskogee Avenue.

R-3                                 Matter of a letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to amend and reordain Section 26-3 (D) (1) of the Norfolk City Code, 1979, regarding times allowed for cutting grass,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

R-4                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance approving the conveyance to the City of Norfolk by Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority of a 5’ x 120’ lane, and authorizing the City Manager to accept the deed on behalf of the city,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

R-5                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to amend and reordain Sections 24-334 and 24-337 of the Norfolk City Code, 1979, SO AS TO change the due date for license tax for boats,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

R-6                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to amend and reordain Chapters 26-1 through 26-13 of the Norfolk City Code, 1979 SO AS TO more clearly define the prohibited activity,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

R-7                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance granting a Special Exception to permit the operation of an eating and drinking establishment on property located at 227 West Brambleton Avenue,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.
