PUBLIC HEARINGS

PH-1                              JOINT PUBLIC HEARING with the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION AND NORFOLK REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY, scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on March 3, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press on the application of the City Planning Commission to amend the General Plan of Norfolk, 1992, to create the Urban Residential District and to change the zoning on property located at 3^rd Bay Street to 7^th Bay Street from R-12 (Multiple Family Residential) and IN-1  (Institutional) to OSP (Open Space Preservation).

C-1                                 Letter from the City Manager presenting recommendation of the City Planning Commission on the application of the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION to amend the General Plan of Norfolk, 1992, to (1) delete the Downtown Neighborhood Plan and the Plan for Downtown Norfolk 2010 and adopt the Plan for Downtown Norfolk 2020, and (2) amend the future land use map for the area addressed by the Plan for Downtown Norfolk 2020 from Commercial/Office, Mixed Use, Medium Density Residential, High Density Residential, and Educational Recreational, Cultural, Open Space, and Environmentally Sensitive designation to a Mixed Use designation.

Recommended Action: Authorize City Clerk to advertise for a public hearing on April 14, 2009.
