Fitzgibbons, chair of Girl Scout Troop 697, thanked Council for giving Troop
697 an opportunity to lead the pledge.
Seven scouts from the troop presented Council with Girl Scout cookies. PUBLIC HEARINGS PH-1 PUBLIC
HEARING scheduled
this day pursuant to action of the Council on November 18, 2008, under the
State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City
Clerk to hear comments on the conveyance of eight
residential GEM lots located in the Park Place neighborhood to Norfolk
Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
Rodney
Jordan, 304 W. 36th Street, and Alton Robinson, 735 W. 35th
Street, expressed concern about certain aspects of the criteria for GEM lots
that may not be in the best interest of the Park Place neighborhood. Both gentlemen asked Council to continue this
matter to give the neighborhood an opportunity to work in partnership with the
Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority. ACTION: Public hearing closed. Matter

Ordinance approving a lease of certain property owned by the City of Norfolk,
located on the first floor of the building located at 200 Boush Street, totaling approximately 7,140 square feet, for a

and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute a lease agreement on
